Dear Colleagues,

I would like to draw your attention to a short course for which we are able to offer fully funded places to scientists from across east Africa.

Following a successful course in September 2008, the IDRN have further funding from the Wellcome Trust, British MRC and British Council for 15 scientists to attend this laboratory and seminar based training programme providing hands on experience of the tools of molecular microbiology. The programme lasts 5 working days starting 16th November 2009 at KCMC in Moshi, northern Tanzania.

The course provides an introduction or refresher to scientists and clinicians in the use of molecular tools in diagnosis and epidemiology of infections. Applications are invited from across East Africa and entry will be competitive on the basis.
